Lake Superior provides essential resources to many people. Fisherman sell fish that are caught in Lake Superior and many communities get their drinking water from the lake. These communities, located in three states and two countries, receive their drinking water from Lake Superior: Ashland, Baraga, Beaver Bay, Duluth, Grand Portage, Grand Marais, L'Anse, Marquette, Rossport, Silver Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Superior, Terrace Bay, Thunder Bay, and Two Harbors. Together, thousands of people use Lake Superior for its extensive resources.
